Nerd Digital achieves rapid results with classic car auction platform Evoke Classics

Digital marketing agency Nerd Digital has found growing audience success for its classic car auction platform Bringing up the classics.

Nerd Digital is the brainchild of the former computing and Director of Business Development at Delta Noel Anderson. While working with the team at computing and Incisive Media, and has also completed a master’s degree in distance learning in digital marketing. Anderson successfully completed his master’s degree in June 2020, with honors.

He moved on to pursue a personal ambition, to launch his own digital marketing agency, and to further develop an application he was building as part of his master’s research.

Nerd now delivers successful campaigns to new clients in the environment, entertainment and technology sectors. One of the projects involves working with classic car TV star Sarah Crabtree (formerly Bangers and Cash) to launch a new classic car auction and community platform, Evoke Classics.

In the past four months, Anderson and Nerd have supported Sarah and the team to develop a marketing strategy, sharpening SEO, email marketing, and stimulating online advertising to grow an online audience for launch. Results were fast, with tens of thousands of followers and subscribers, loads of classic cars unveiled for auction (which starts in December) and tens of thousands of site visits per month, all from a steady start.

The team at Nerd is now able to scale up this type of project to support start-ups, new product launches and high-growth campaigns in 2022, and Anderson describes himself as “very excited” about the future.

But what about the app?

This app anticipates the HGV driver crisis, and in collaboration with Johnny Goldstone (founder of www.greentomatocars.com) and Mark Phils (HGV driver expert and regular commentator on the HGV crisis in the mainstream media) have created an Uber for HGV drivers, called www.truckstars.co.uk

Following a simple methodology, creating an MVP and testing it in the market, Truckstars beat hundreds of applicants to get access to the University of Southampton’s “Catalyst” business accelerator. Further developing the product in the incubator, Truckstars was subsequently invited to join the world’s number one university-related business acceleration program called www.setsquared.co.uk

SETsquared is working with 600 startups at any one time, with 40 being invited to apply for the annual investment proposal (in December), with only 16 companies having applied for funding. Truckstars has been successful, raising £1m for rapid growth, processes and technology to truly disrupt the market, including CTO – so keep an eye on this space. In 2020, SETsquared companies raised more than £616 million.
